"Winter Keeping Box"
According to English poet, Edith Sitwell, "Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand, and for a talk beside the fire; it is the time for home."
Between the holy days of Advent and Easter, comes winter. The cold time, the dark time, the bleak time. In some respects winter is like an extended Sabbath. The season draws us into a simpler, quieter way of life, if we let it. As I was preparing the "winter keeping box," I couldn't help but include shades of pink and devotions of love. Not just any love but His love. A couple of items in this box have traveled far to get here. It's been a treat to watch a couple of items in this box clear customs in 3 different countries. All the while, supporting artisans in far off lands that need the business just like we do. That's one thing I love about this small business, it impacts others, it aids others, it loves others. We love supporting the makers directly. The winter keeping box includes items that you will love, that will love you and that you can use to love others in return. It will carry you thru your habits of winter and into spring.
Embrace each item!
